With the “Senior Leaders of Tomorrow Development Program,” the Maine State Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Sojourn Partners, LLC, to help our members prepare for success in the future by developing their emerging leaders now. In addition to benefitting employers, we also recognize that the Maine State Chamber will benefit from the program because these future leaders of our members will become the future leaders of the Chamber. This 12-session virtual program is highly interactive and delivered over time to engage and support participants in a deep and sustainable way. Content is relevant and addresses real goals allowing participants to experience for themselves the impact on their organization immediately. The first offering of the “Senior Leaders of Tomorrow Development Program” started in February of this year and is scheduled for completion this June. There are 13 participants representing eight Maine organizations and one firm from New Hampshire. Among the Maine organizations participating in the program are Bangor Savings Bank, Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Camden National Bank, Chenmark Capital Management, Cross Insurance, Dennis Paper and Food Service, St.Germain, and the Town of Hampden. JH Spain in New Hampshire is also participating. “Leaders don’t create followers; they create more leaders.” – Tom Peters Business management guru and author, Tom Peters, once wrote, “Leaders don’t create followers; they create more leaders.” It is in this spirit we plan to offer this program at least once a year.
