Statehouse Connection
Businesses throughout the state are effected each year by legislation made in Augusta. It's difficult to stay on top of issues that can directly, or indirectly, effect your company - such as taxes, workers' compensation, the environment, health care, and education reform. Our experienced governmental affairs specialists work year-round to represent the needs of your business to decision-makers.

Legislative Outreach
Legislative updates published weekly in our newsletter, IMPACT, explain, in language you can understand, how state laws and mandates will effect your company. Also, when hot topics arise, you can count on us to send requests for support along with an explanation of the debates in Augusta, and how they can effect your business.

Ask Advocacy Helpline
Interested in an issue being discussed at the Statehouse? Have a question about a particular piece of legislation? Our Ask Advocacy helpline connects you directly with a governmental affairs expert. Although the helpline isn't a substitute for legal counsel, we will give you the accurate answers you are looking for. If you have a question or concern about legislative action being taken, contact our governmental affairs staff by email or call (207) 623-4568. Please specify whether your question regards environmental, utilities/energy, taxation, economic development, human resources, health care, or workers' compensation policy.
