The Maine State Chamber of Commerce is Maine’s largest business association, representing businesses of all sizes and sectors across Maine.

As a member, you will have the opportunity to help guide policy priorities, and through our communications and publications, you’ll have access to the latest public policy information and state and federal advocacy efforts that impact your organization and Maine’s economic future. Advocacy

The Maine State Chamber has the largest and most respected advocacy presence of any business association in Maine. No other association covers as many issues with broad public policy implications as the Chamber. From workers’ compensation, to workplace issues, health care, energy, tax policy, education, workforce development and environmental policy, our team of advocates is the largest in the statehouse. We are without question “The Voice of Maine Business” in the halls of Augusta.

Access

Through our various networking events, our membership of more than 5,000 business owners and employees share best practices and create solid business contacts each year. A Chamber of Commerce membership provides you instant access to these area businesses and organizations. Our policy-oriented events give members the opportunity to interact with issue experts, opinion leaders, and policy makers in a meaningful way. Through these events, our members not only learn more about issues, they add value to the dialogue by sharing their own perspectives.

Membership Levels and Benefits

Discover the right fit for your business with the Maine State Chamber

At the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, we understand that every business is unique — from agile sole proprietorships to thriving multinational corporations. That’s why we offer six flexible membership levels, thoughtfully designed to provide exceptional value at every stage of your growth.

Our affordable dues structure—starting at just $35 per employee annually, with a minimum investment of $500 per year—ensures that high-quality service and impactful support are within reach for businesses of all sizes.

As your level of membership increases, so do the exclusive benefits, resources, and opportunities available to you. From enhanced visibility to influential advocacy, each level is tailored to help your business thrive.

Membership levels

We’re proud to offer the following membership levels — designed to grow with you:

  • ​Subscriber Level ($500 annual dues): A Subscriber member of the Maine State Chamber, will receive all electronic communications, which includes daily news headlines and advocacy alerts. Also included at the Subscriber level of membership is the Chamber’s newsletter -- Impact -- in either paper or electronic form as well as invitations to all public Maine State Chamber functions, such as Strictly Socials, Annual Meeting, and Issue Forums (registration fees may apply). Subscriber level members are also invited to participate in the Chamber’s policy committees of the member’s interest as well as a profile listing on the Chamber’s website visible to all members. Types of organizations at this level include non-profit organizations, as well as for-profit companies such as manufacturers, small retailers, etc.; some restrictions apply for organizations with multiple entities and locations and/or are part of a national corporation. Lobbyists, Government Affairs Counsel, Consultants, Accountants, Attorneys; some restrictions apply to member benefits.

  • Investor Level ($1,500 annual dues): At the Investor level, a member will receive all of the benefits offered to Subscriber members (see above) and will also receive a public listing on our website, www.mainechamber.org.

  • Business Advocate Level ($4,000 annual dues): At the Business Advocate level, a member will receive all the benefits listed for the Subscriber and Investor levels, and access to a Chamber Advocacy Team liaison will be given. This access will increase a member’s knowledge of the hottest current topics affecting business operations in Maine and will give the member the opportunity to provide input to the Chamber’s policy positions.

  • Cornerstone Level ($12,000 annual dues): In addition to all the above benefits, a member at this level is eligible to participate in the Chamber’s annual Leadership Summit event, which offers direct access to policymakers and policy influencers. Also, Cornerstone members will receive banner recognition at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Leadership Summit.

  • President’s Circle Level ($25,000 annual dues): In addition to all the above benefits, a member at the President’s Circle level will have the opportunity to participate in the Chamber’s twice-monthly podcast – The Bottom Line – and an invitation to join the Chamber’s annual DC Fly-In (registration and travel fees apply).

  • ​Board Chair’s Circle Level ($35,000 annual dues): In addition to the above benefits, a Board Chair’s Circle member will be invited to provide input on Keep Maine Competitive and other major policy initiatives.
