Our Board
A Message from Board Chair LuAnn Ballesteros

It is my honor and privilege to serve as Chair of the Maine State Chamber’s Board of Directors, and to lead the Chamber through the next biennium.
As the Chamber transitions from the outstanding leadership of our previous board chair, Clif Greim, I want to express my deep appreciation to Clif for his service.
I also want to congratulate longtime Chamber President Dana Connors on the occasion of his retirement and extend my thanks for his leadership and dedication to Maine businesses throughout his 29 year tenure.
Clif and Dana have been instrumental to the Chamber’s effectiveness and success as Maine’s largest business association. Their efforts on behalf of Chamber members and the State’s business community have been extraordinary. They have made a notable mark on the Maine economy and on Maine people.
While there are challenges before our State and Maine’s business community, including in the current legislative session, the Chamber is optimistic about Maine’s future. We are fortunate to have a roadmap - Maine’s 10-year Economic Development Strategy - formulated with the help of 1,300 people from all corners of our state – that focuses on innovation, growing and strengthening Maine’s workforce, and the critical infrastructure investments needed to move Maine’s economy forward and improve opportunities for all Maine people.
With a strong foundation to build upon, we will continue our work as The Voice of Maine Business and our focus on Advocacy, Access, and Awareness. Those efforts will advance the Chamber’s mission and help ensure a positive business climate and a strong state economy in which all Maine businesses can compete and succeed.
The Chamber looks forward to continuing collaborations with Maine policy leaders, government officials, our congressional delegation, community partners, and the State’s academic institutions. Working together, we can and will address Maine’s business and economic challenges, leverage and grow the opportunities before us, and better position Maine as a great place to live, work, and do business.
Sincerely,
LuAnn Ballesteros
Chair, Maine State Chamber of Commerce
