In late July, the Maine State Chamber welcomed Kattie Peaslee to the team. She will assist Simon West in the execution of finance and human resources duties. In 2009, Kattie received her Associate’s degree in business administration and marketing from Kennebec Valley Community College. “We are very excited to have Kattie on board,” noted Dana Connors, president of the Maine State Chamber. “I am confident that her background and skill set, coupled with her affable personality and her ability to learn our processes quickly, will make her a valuable asset in our ability to serve our members.”
With more than 10 years of experience in financial services, her career began at TD Bank as a head teller and customer service representative. She later joined the team at Gardiner Federal Credit Union in 2015 as a teller and was promoted to the member services team, where she helped raise money for the Ending Hunger Campaign in Maine. “I am looking forward to serving chamber members in this role,” Kattie said, “and I look forward to learning more about the Maine business community in the process.” Outside of work, she has previously served as the treasurer for Animal Rescue of Kennebec for four years and has volunteered for Cohen Center in Augusta for the past two years.
