The Maine State Chamber’s annual Leadership Summit provides opportunities for board members and invited guests to connect with state government commissioners and Maine legislative leadership, including committee chairs and key committee members. The Maine State Chamber takes pride in providing opportunities for Maine’s business and government leaders to engage in honest, open dialogue about top public policy issues. This year, due to COVID-19 and the need to comply with social distancing guidelines, we will be offering our program virtually.
The first morning of the 2021 Leadership Summit will begin with a panel discussion of the State’s 10-year strategic plan, the Governor’s Economic Recovery Committee and its final report, and Maine Development Foundation’s 2020 Measures of Growth report. It also will feature a presentation and conversation about the State biennial budget. A keynote presentation will conclude the first morning’s sessions, highlighting investments in education by key investors who believe in the state and have made commitments to Maine’s growth.
Modifying our traditional “round table” format, the second morning of the 2021 Leadership Summit will delve into the legislative session’s priorities as legislators begin their work, as well as the business community’s reaction. Governor Janet Mills has been invited to make remarks at the conclusion of this year’s summit.
Thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible – Thursday’s Principal sponsor, Verrill; Friday’s Principal sponsor, Pierce Atwood, LLP; our Programming sponsor, Headlight Audio Visual Video; our Break sponsors, Eaton Peabody, Charter Communications, and IDEXX; and, our Supporting sponsors – AmeriHealth Caritas; AT&T; Bangor Savings Bank; Bernstein Shur; Boston Brands of Maine; Casella Resource Solutions; Central Maine Power Company; Consolidated Communications; Cross Insurance; Hannaford; Harvard Pilgrim Health Care; The Jackson Laboratory; Kennebec Savings Bank; MaineHealth; Maine Credit Union League; Spectrum Healthcare Partners; Summit Natural Gas; Unitil; Unum; Verizon; Versant Power; and, VHB.
Ultimately, the 2021 Leadership Summit seeks to review the direction we are headed in as a state and generate collaborative ideas for our collective growth and expansion. This event will be held virtually. To register for this event, please click here. The program materials, agenda and join link will be sent to registrants on Monday, February 1.
