In November 2021, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce will begin the second year of its leadership program powered by Sojourn Partners. Senior Leaders of Tomorrow Development Program will provide interactive training for participants in 12 virtual sessions spread across eight months. The format of these hands-on working sessions supports contemporary management skills, including creating and executing change; managing culture and engagement; communication and influence; strategic planning; resilience; and, creating inclusive environments.
This training is designed for leaders in your organization who you see stepping into more senior leadership positions in the future – those you want to continue preparing for future growth. The content is real and applicable to today’s work environment. A complete description of the training sessions can be found at https://www.mainechamber.org/lead-details.

As a chamber, this program helps us support our members, while integrating them into the chamber culture and community. It deepens our member reach and ensures that the leaders of tomorrow are connected to how chambers support and will continue to support statewide businesses in the future. Last year’s graduating class had this to say about the program:

“I didn’t know what I was going to get into. I have also attended many leadership training programs in my career. Comparatively speaking, this program was exceedingly articulate. We put the concepts directly into practice and it became much more insightful and very impactful. It was a genuine pleasure and certainly something I would certainly recommend. I genuinely had a fantastic experience and feel privileged to meet everyone. It was an honor to participate.”

“I was very lucky that (my company) volunteered me to sign up for this. I knew there was something missing from my leadership, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been able to participate in this program.”

“This was a great program. It has brought a lot of skills to my leadership as well the knowledge that I am able to pass those leadership skills to other people in my company. We are already talking to our Senior Project Managers that we are looking at for our leadership. We will definitely be sending people the next time this comes around because we know they are going to gain so much from this program.”

Sojourn Partners, with a professional staff of nine leadership practitioners, has been providing customized leadership training for New England businesses for 20 years. They have supported such clients MEMIC, Baker Newman Noyes, and Maine Community Bank. For registration information, please visit  https://www.mainechamber.org/lead.
