Employers invited to host on-site vaccination clinics

The Maine Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recently invited employers to partner with the State to host smaller vaccine clinics on site. Any business or organization that has at least 10 people who need a vaccination can request a clinic. Last week, MaineHealth offered the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine at its first pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Becky’s Diner on Commercial Street in Portland.
The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) remains committed to making vaccination as accessible and easy as possible. With as few as 10 confirmed patients, any community partner (school, employer, religious organization, community group, etc.) can organize a pop-up clinic to bring vaccinations to their community by simply completing the online application form. Once completed, the Maine Immunization Program at the Maine CDC will connect all approved applicants with a medical provider to finalize logistics. DHHS can also assist by providing guidance on clinic preparations. For questions or more information about vaccination clinics, please contact [email protected].
