Since the February 1 launch of the Maine State Chamber’s weekly public affairs program, The Maine Take with Dana Connors, the livestream program has hosted all four members of Maine’s congressional delegation, Governor Janet Mills, leaders from the University of Maine and Maine’s Community College System, representatives from HospitalityMaine and Maine Restaurant Week, and more. Most recently, on March 8, The Maine Take celebrated the achievements, accomplishments, and contributions of women in Maine on International Women’s Day with a line-up of remarkable leaders that included Governor Janet Mills; Thomas College President Laurie Lachance; Dr. Joan Ferrini-Mundy, University of Maine System vice chancellor for research and innovation, and president of the University of Maine and its regional campus, the University of Maine at Machias; and Hannah Pingree, director of the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future.
On March 15, Statehood Day, The Maine Take livestreamed from UMaine’s Orono campus. Host Dana Connors was joined by Sen. Bill Diamond and Dr. Ferrini-Mundy to discuss Maine’s bicentennial celebration immediately after the three took part in Maine200’s official time capsule unveiling at UMaine’s Advanced Structures and Composites Center. Join us every Monday at 3:00 p.m. on the Chamber’s website and YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/user/MaineChamber/live. Please note that in the event of a Monday holiday, the program will livestream at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
