Webinar: Paid Family and Medical Leave Part 2
Monday, April 29, 2024 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM EST The Maine State Chamber of Commerce would like you to join us for a two-part update on the Paid Family and Medical Leave Program. Since legislation was passed in 2023, the Maine Department of Labor has undertaken a rulemaking process to help facilitate how the program here in Maine will be administered. For part two, the Chamber has partnered with the Department of Labor to give an overview of the Paid Family and Medical Leave legislation, what information was gleaned from stakeholders during the four Listening Sessions hosted by the DOL in February, how the new named Paid Family and Medical Leave Authority will impact the rulemaking process, and what the goals of the DOL are for the rest of the implementation process.
