Join Peter Gore, Senior Government Relations Specialist, Maine Street Solutions, and Tawny Alvarez, Labor and Employment Attorney, Verrill for the Maine Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Human Resources Law Legislative Update.  Join Peter and Tawny as they discuss Maine legislative changes that affect business owners and human resources professionals including updates on Maine’s proposed Paid Family Medical Leave bill and proposed changes to the state’s non-compete laws, workers' compensation system, and wage and hour laws, as well as new proposed surveillance laws and changes to the Maine Human Rights Act. This program will discuss not only the proposed (and enacted) changes but also best practices for employers in response to these changes.
