2022 Health Care Forum

Wednesday, May 25, 2022 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM EST

We hope you will join us for the 2022 Maine State Chamber of Commerce’s annual Health Care Forum.  This forum will be virtual in presentation again this year. It will focus on the changing make-up and dynamic of Maine’s health care market. This year, our panelists will look at the future of our newly-merged individual and small business (group) markets. This recent merger is the product of more than a year’s worth of work and discussion, and its function in principle is to bring stability and lower costs to both markets, specifically to the small group market that is made up of business with fewer than 50 employees.

The question on the minds of employers and insurers is, “Will costs really go down as predicted?” Join us for a panel discussion made up of representatives from the Maine Bureau of Insurance and industry leaders on what a merged market may mean for your business and your employees. Then hear from representatives of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as they provide us with an update on the progress of single payor legislation in Washington, D.C., and on a state-by-state basis, including Maine’s own single payor effort.

There is no cost to attend, but we do ask that you please register. We look forward to seeing you on Wed., May 25 at 9:00 a.m.
