Cyber Security, A Two Part Webinar Series - Part 2 of 2

The Maine State Chamber of Commerce is hosting a two-part webinar series on cybersecurity, in an effort to increase awareness about the importance of cybersecurity on a global scale. The practice of protecting critical and sensitive information from digital attacks, cybersecurity impacts businesses of all sizes across Maine. These attacks are becoming more frequent and cost businesses billions of dollars, as well as threaten businesses’ livelihoods and our national security.
 
 This webinar series will provide an overview of the issue from a federal standpoint, include a discussion of pending federal legislation, and talk about ways and reasons that business should protect themselves from cyber-attacks. The first webinar in our two-part series will occur on Thursday, November 18 at 2:15 p.m.; the second webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1 at 10:00 a.m.
 
The series will be moderated by Linda Caprara, senior government relations specialist for the Maine State Chamber. She was recently named to the Cybersecurity Working Group for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, part of its Cyber Intelligence and Supply Chain Security Division. The working group influences policy at the federal level to promote private sector solutions for increased cybersecurity. 
 
This two part webinar series is free, all you need to do is register.  The first webinar in our two-part series (recording available here)was held on Thursday, November 18 at 2:15 p.m.; the second webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1 at 10:00 a.m.
