As we enter the new year, Maine’s 132nd?Legislature will hold its first Regular Session beginning in January. The state’s fiscal year concludes in June and the Legislature must pass a biennial budget, and a myriad of issues are anticipated to be considered from Maine’s newly enacted Paid Family Medical Leave, to housing, and data privacy. Please join the Maine State Chamber of Commerce’s Advocacy team for “On the Horizon: What to Expect in the Next Legislative Session” on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The Chamber’s Advocacy team will provide an overview of the session, look at key pieces of legislation, and provide a preview of upcoming issues and discuss how they could affect your business, and how the Chamber plans to approach them to achieve a positive outcome for Maine’s business community. “On the Horizon: What to Expect in the Next Legislative Session” is a virtual event.
