Mark Brewer, chair of the Department of Political Science at the University of Maine, will discuss the battle for control of the Maine House of Representatives and Maine Senate. Christian Potholm, author and Bowdoin College’s DeAlva Stanwood Alexander Professor of Government Emeritus, will discuss his new book "How Maine Decides: An Insiders' guide to How Ballot Measures Are Won and Lost" and its axioms to help the audience better understand how this fall's ballot measures will be won or lost and which axioms will predominate in the process.
