We're excited to launch a four-part webinar series designed specifically for employers navigating immigration and workforce compliance. Led by Katie Nokes Minervino, head of Pierce Atwood’s Immigration Practice Group, this series will break down key aspects of employer verification compliance and considerations, providing practical guidance to help employers stay informed and compliant in a rapidly evolving landscape. ​Thursday, May 22:  Form I-9: The Basics - This presentation provides an overview of Form I-9 basics appropriate for anyone responsible now or in the future for I-9 compliance. Topics include: completing the I-9,  retaining the I-9, re-verification requirements, correcting errors, self-audits, and best practices for avoiding discrimination.

​Thursday, May 29: Form I-9: Beyond the Basics -  This presentation provides  information outside the four corners of the Form I-9, including electronic I-9 creation and storage, alternate virtual document review, E-Verify, and more.

​Thursday, June 5: Workers with Temporary Status - This session covers considerations in the hiring process around confirming applicants are employment authorized, when employer sponsorship is required, avoiding discrimination, tracking expiration of employment authorization documents for Form I-9 reverification, and understanding recent developments around changes in work authorized status for certain classifications of workers.

Thursday, June 12: Preparing for Inspection and Enforcement - Employers must be ready to cooperate and respond if they receive an I-9 Notice of Inspection or other immigration enforcement at the worksite. This session provides information about the I-9 inspection process, other instances where an employer may need to respond to immigration enforcement, and preparing for the same.
