2026 Business Day at the State House
|
The Maine State Chamber’s annual “Business Day at the Statehouse” provides a unique opportunity for members to showcase their business at Maine’s Capitol in Augusta. Maine State Chamber member businesses participate each year to meet and speak with Maine legislators and state officials about their business, and their priorities, concerns, and challenges. The event helps foster collaboration between policy makers and the business community, and is key to a stronger, more competitive Maine economy. Member businesses are encouraged to register for this event. Together, we can help make Maine an even better place to live, work and do business!
The Chamber recognized this year’s Maine Business Champion Award recipients for their commitment to supporting Maine employers and "going to bat for Maine businesses": • Senator Richard Bradstreet • Senator Teresa Pierce • Representative Tavis Rock Hasenfus • Representative Rachel Henderson Each received an engraved bat from Maine's own Dove Tail Bat Company! Discussions also highlighted growing concerns from Maine’s business community about L.D. 1822, the data privacy proposal currently before the Legislature. Employers emphasized the importance of maintaining access to affordable digital tools that help businesses reach customers and compete. Thanks to Beth Greenlaw of Sea Bags and Bath-Brunswick Regional Chamber Executive Director Cory King for speaking on this important issue.
