Join the Maine Chamber of Commerce’s Education Foundation and the national Science is US campaign on Wed., February 10 beginning at 1:00 p.m. for a series of virtual discussions on STEM Workforce Development in Maine. This fourth session in the STEM series will focus on The Future of STEM Jobs and Innovation in Maine.

The goal of these two-hour virtual discussions is to provide best practices to businesses and stakeholders to help recruit, train and expand the STEM workforce in Maine. Participants will learn best practices for STEM development, and at the end of the series, a set of recommendations will be developed for stakeholders and policymakers to help shape future decisions in Maine.

Attendees will hear from Ruth Kermish-Allen, executive director of the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance, and other industry experts about the future of STEM jobs and innovation in Maine. A diverse panel will speak to the opportunities and challenges that lay ahead as Maine companies look to innovate and be on the leading edge of the new economy.
