2026 Leadership Summit

The Maine State Chamber of Commerce hosted its 27th Annual Leadership Summit on February 5–6, 2026, at The Westin Portland Harborview Hotel, bringing together influential business leaders, legislative leadership, and senior government officials for candid, forward-looking dialogue on Maine’s economic future.

This invitation-only convening created space for thoughtful discussion, relationship-building, and shared problem-solving around the policy priorities and economic opportunities shaping the state’s competitiveness. Attendees engaged in meaningful conversations designed to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors and support long-term growth for Maine employers and communities.

The Summit opened Thursday evening with a reception, dinner, and a legislative leadership discussion featuring key members of the Maine House and Senate, who shared perspectives on priorities for the Second Regular Session. The evening concluded with a reception at Top of the East, offering panoramic views of Portland’s harbor and skyline and an elevated setting for continued connection among participants.

Friday’s program highlighted Maine’s economic outlook and long-term vision, including a Maine Business Spotlight and a forward-focused conversation on Maine Economic Vision 2035, moderated by former Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Heather Johnson. Leaders from economic development, higher education, and the private sector explored strategies to advance investment, workforce growth, and statewide prosperity. The morning concluded with breakout discussions and a closing luncheon.

The Leadership Summit remains one of the Chamber’s most important annual gatherings—providing a trusted forum for collaboration, insight, and momentum as Maine’s leaders work together to strengthen the state’s economy and future competitiveness.
